1. Registration & Payment
   • How do I register for the conference?  Attendees completed an application and were invited to register. If you are interested in applying to attend the 2027 A.I.S.I, join our mailing list . 
   • What forms of payment do you accept? A.I.S.I. is completely free to attend thanks to support from GOOGLE.
2. Conference Logistics
   • Where and when does the event take place? July 13-16, 2026 at 401 Railroad Ave., Hartsville, SC 29550
   • Will there be a conference app or schedule I can download? Yes, you can download the SCHED app for iPhones or Android phones. Download the "Sched Check-in App" to check in at each session and earn your certificates and stipend.
   • Is there a recommended dress code? While we understand it is summer, we encourage business casual dress. The school can often vary in temperature, so bringing a light sweater or jacket may improve comfort. There is also a 1 block walk between the hotel and the institute venue, so comfortable shoes are recommended. 
   • Are meals or refreshments included with my ticket? Yes. Lunch and three dinners are included as well as a happy hour social event on Tuesday night. 
3. Travel & Accommodation    
   • Are there special hotel rates for attendees? A hotel room is provided at no charge to each attendee who indicated this need before June 12, 2026. Additional rooms may be booked by the participant at the discounted cost of $110 per night plus taxes if booked by June 12, 2026. 
   • Is parking available on-site? Parking is available at the hotel and at the venue. The hotel is approximately 300 yards from the school where the sessions will take place. 
4. Accessibility & Special Needs
   • Is the venue accessible to wheelchairs or those with mobility issues? Handicapped parking is available  in front of the school and if additional spaces are needed, in the rear, by special arrangement.
   • Can I request special dietary accommodations? Yes, these special requests should be made on the Housing and Meal Preference Form submitted with registration. If last minute changes occur, please contact [email protected]. 
   • Who should I contact for any additional accommodation requests? Please email Jackie Weber at [email protected].
5. Networking & Sessions
   • How do I schedule or sign up for specific sessions? Use the SCHED app or website in the "My Schedule" section to select the sessions you wish to attend. Space is limited in most of the sessions.
   • Is there a networking lounge or reception? On Tuesday evening we are hosting a Share & Collaborate Happy Hour at the Wild Heart Brewery, which is located between the hotel and the school. 
   • Will I have access to session recordings or presentation slides afterward? The sessions will not be recorded. Presenters will post their facilitation slides in the SCHED app under their session.
6. Code of Conduct
   • Does the conference have a code of conduct? Professional conduct is expected at all times. Participants may need to check in at the school reception desk upon entering the school for sessions each day. No smoking, alcohol, or drug use is permitted on school property. Any attendees who are antagonistic or disrespectful of presenters or fellow attendees will be ask to leave the Institute. 
   • Who should I contact if I experience or witness inappropriate behavior? Please contact school security in the front lobby or call 843.992.0377.

   • Where is the venue located? 401 Railroad Ave., Hartsville, SC 29550
   • How do I get there by public transportation? Public transportation is extremely limited in the area. Please visit the Pee Dee Region Transit Authority for bus routes. https://pdrta.org/
   • Is parking available and is it free or paid? Free parking is available.
2. Venue Amenities
   • Is free Wi-Fi available? Free wifi is available under the GSSM-Visitor network. All visitors will register and accept the acceptable use agreement to connect. 
   • Are there on-site dining options or nearby restaurants? There are plentiful dining options in Hartsville. The GSSM Cafe is available for attendees and presenters at no cost for lunch (M-W) and dinner (Sun, M, W).  
   • Where can I find an ATM or business center? There are numerous banks in walking distance to the hotel and school. 
3. Accessibility
   • Is the venue wheelchair-accessible? Yes.
   • Are there hearing assistance devices or other adaptive services? No. 

1. Online Access
   • Will there be a virtual option for attendees who can’t travel? This is an in-person Institute. The Administrator's Session on Thursday, July 16 from 9-11 a.m. will be streaming via Zoom. 
   • How do I log in to view sessions online? Those who register in advance for the Administrator's Session will receive the link to attend virtually.  Attendees may register . 
2. Recorded Sessions
   • Will recorded sessions be available after the event? No.
3. Interaction & Networking
   • How can virtual attendees ask questions or interact with speakers? A backchannel will be monitored during the virtual sessions. 
   • Will there be dedicated online networking sessions? No.
