2026 AI Educator Summer Institute
The inaugural A.I. Educator Summer Institute begins on July 13, 2026!
Wednesday July 15, 2026 9:00am - 10:15am EDT
Limited Capacity seats available
Students have access to a wide range of AI tools. While many students may be tempted to use AI as a shortcut to finish a task and bypass the learning process, educators can push students toward more thoughtful engagement with technology, seeing it as a tool whose output must be questioned and refined. In this session, participants will examine cases where AI produces incorrect, incomplete, or unhelpful responses and consider how these moments can support deeper learning in our students. Participants will also experience a classroom activity where students compare their own work with AI-generated work and are asked to think through any differences or discrepancies they see. The session will focus on practical strategies for helping students develop habits of verification, reflection, and responsible AI use that can transfer across disciplines.
